Whatsit?

As promised, here is the first set of our "Whatsit?" series. This series is comprised of sets of photos that we will be releasing periodically (hopefully every Sunday). The photos are taken around the greater Vancouver area and this is a test for all you Vancouverites to see how well you know your city. For each image take a guess as to what and/or where (bonus if you can answer both) these items/objects are and can be found.

Please post your answers in our comment section. At the end of each post we will have a cut-off date for when answers will be accepted. At the end of the series we will tally up everyone's correct answers and the person with the most correct answers will be awarded a prize (to be determined, but we'll make it good!).

Be sure to leave your name in the comment so that we know who to give the points to!

Have Fun!!!

1). Where is this "big g" located? (bonus: what is the name of the establishment associated with this logo?)
 2) where can this be found? (bonus: what do all these sticks make up?)
3) Where can this be found? What is it? (must get both correct for points!)
